I know I know it's been a long time since I blogged something real. I've been getting into the habit of sharing the things I come across in my days at the very least.
Luckily, the reason why I haven't been writing longer posts is because I've been busy making things happen. So, since I have a moment and there've been a lot of things that have happened since I last posted something like this, I am gonna fill you guys in now.
First thing that's really exciting is that I was asked to do a charity gig w Donovan at the El Rey Theatre in LA next month, on March 19. If anyone has plans to be out there then, it's gonna be a great night for eB in particular and a special night of music in general. It benefits the David Lynch Foundation, which is a super cool charity that brings transcendental meditation into schools around the world. It's a really huge break and a chance to share our stuff with more people at one time than we've yet had the opportunity to do.
Next thing is I've been writing some new songs w the incomparable Richard Barone Richard Barone official. He's an amazingly talented and successful guy in this business and, most important of all, he's become a friend and is a pleasure to work with. I think we've come up w 2 songs that might make the next eB album and one which will go on his next CD w eB sitting in.
Lastly, for the moment, we're playing SXSW on March 17th before heading out to LA for the Donovan gig. Details to come, but anyone who's down SX way should defo come check out what's gonna be a star-studded, eclectic mix of players around the pool & jacuzzi in Austin. Probably gonna play something else small down there on either the 20th or 21st after heading back to TX from LA.
Many more cool things starting to bubble to the surface. Many more on the horizon. Can't wait to connect w you all in person in places outside of the Big Apple.
